A place for culture, Bonn and the region

The Beethovenhalle is currently undergoing extensive renovation and modernization by its owner, the Federal City of Bonn.
The renovation is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
Then the Bethovenhalle will be available again for concerts of the Beethoven Orchestra and numerous other events.

In cooperation with the Federal City of Bonn, the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz (German Foundation for Monument Protection) and the ProBeethovenhalle e.V. association are collecting donations for supplementary measures within the scope of the renovation that have not yet been financed. Overview

The Beethovenhalle ist home of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn and an important part of the cultural life of the Federal City of Bonn, the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven. Every year, the Beethovenhalle hosts numerous concerts of the Beethoven Orchestra, the annual International Beethoven Festival, guest performances, traditional events and balls. Congresses, conferences and trade fairs complete the range of events held at the Beethovenhalle.

The initiative to build the first Beethovenhalle came from Franz Liszt in the 19th century on the occasion of the first Beethovenfest.
The current Beethovenhalle was opened in 1959. Currently, the Beethovenhalle is undergoing extensive renovation and modernization.

Facts & Figures

The various uses of the rooms around the Great Hall and in the South Forum make it possible to organize training courses and seminars for a small group of interested parties as well as evening events or specialist conferences with several hundred participants.

Great Hall / Foyers

In combination with the foyer areas, the Great Hall forms the heart of the Beethovenhalle. 

Great Hall
The Great Hall offers seating for up to 1,430 people in rows. The 280-square-meter podium provides space for a wide variety of productions.

Foyer areas
The foyer areas around the Great Hall are flooded with light and can be used for receptions or as exhibition areas.

Forum South

The Forum Süd consists of the studio, seminar rooms 1 to 4, the exhibition room, the lecture hall and the chamber music hall.
The foyer connecting the various rooms is suitable for exhibitions or as a reception area.

Seminar rooms 1 to 4
The four rooms have daylight and some have a direct view of the Rhine. Three rooms can be occupied individually or together by means of a partition wall system and are suitable for conferences, exhibitions and social events of all kinds. Seated in rows, seminar rooms 1 to 3 can accommodate a total of up to 400 people.

The Studio
In the Studio, meetings and congresses with up to 510 people can be held on 500 square meters. Due to the flexible staging by means of lifting podiums, the multifunctional equipment and the spacious stage area, the studio is also suitable for concerts or theater performances.
